The Mississippi Headwaters Hostel has 6 individual bedrooms. Each room has 4 to 6 beds in it – all beds are twin, bunk-bed style beds. Individuals may rent one bed for dorm type accommodations, while families or couples may choose to rent an entire room for privacy. Groups may rent the whole hostel for a total of 31 beds–or just the south wing of the hostel for 18 beds.
Accommodations Overview
All of our rooms are cozy, featuring log walls and comfortable, twin-size bunk beds. They work great for individuals, families and groups. Couples might find the twin beds challenging–but we assure you the fresh air of northern Minnesota will make you sleep wonderfully. ;–}
Bedroom 1: Room 1 is just off our registration lounge, and has the advantage of being a bit removed from the other bedrooms and dining area. It sleeps 5 people, and contains our only non-bunk twin bed. There is a unisex bath/shower directly across the hallway.
Bedroom 2: Conveniently located just off the main dining room area, bedroom #2 has 4 beds – all are twin size bunk beds.
Bedroom 3: Conveniently located just off the main dining room area, bedroom #2 has 4 beds – all are twin size bunk beds.
Bedroom 4: Spacious, great for families, this room sits just off the south wing lounge which is a great play space for kids or for adults who want to catch up on a novel.

Bedroom 6: Spacious, great for families, this room is the only bedroom to feature an exit within the bedroom. It sits just off the south wing lounge which is a great play space for kids or for adults who want to catch up on a novel.
General Information
- Pillows and blankets are provided for all guests.
- Linens are provided for individuals and families/small groups free of charge. However there will be a $5/per person laundry surcharge for groups of 10 people or more.
